Puppies sure look cute, adorable and are little bundles of happiness in your home. However having a puppy that poops and pees all over the house is no fun and definitely will make your house smell awful and makes things worse if your carpets and furniture are expensive. Taking care of a puppy is more like taking care of a baby, it is your responsibility to train your puppy and make it a perfectly responsible member as it grows up, who is going to share your living space.

No one can be sure about how much time it might take to complete your potty training. It might take some pups a few days to understand the house laws and some might take a few weeks. Reinforcing plays a main role in puppy training.

If you are someone who got your first dog and looking for some good dog training and potty training tips or if you have already had a couple of dogs and still doesn’t have a freaking clue about how to potty train a puppy, read further, because these are the 3 tricks to quickly potty training puppies.

1 – Consistency

Take your puppy for a walk as soon as he wakes up in the morning and choose the spot for your puppy to relieve himself. It may be a small sand potty or someplace where you want him to do his job. It is better to put him in a leash so that you can walk him around the potty area and constantly point your finger towards that place and give the command. This is the key in teaching your pup that he needs to relieve in the morning when you take him for a walk, in that particular spot.

He is not going to do it right initially but he will start to understand. To reinforce it, pet him and encourage him when he does it right. Praise your little buddy when he relieves on schedule at the right place.
If the puppy is too young, you might have a need to take him out quite often. This is not a precise calculation of any sort, but if you have a 2 month old pup, keep it a rule that you need to take him out every 2 hours, for a 3 month old puppy, take him out every 3 hours, well you get the idea.

2 – Food Habits

Puppies generally eat a lot if they are provided with food all the time. So, never over feed him and keep in mind that, as you feed him more food and give him a lot of water, he is going to excrete a lot. But, don’t make your pup starve; you need to give him the sufficient amount of nutrient he requires. If you are not sure how much you have to feed, just consult a local vet or ask a good dog trainer and they will be able to help you. Also, as a rule, don’t give your puppy water 1 hour before his sleeping time. This will make sure that he will get through the night without any accidents. Abide to meal schedules as per the advice by your vet or dog trainer. Living in SLC? You can find a lot of competent Salt Lake City dog trainer in and around the city to get advices on potty training.

3 – Punish The Pooch

When you find the sweet little scoundrel defecating inside your home, you should show your contempt right away. Punish your puppy when he does it, punish doesn’t mean you need to beat him or hurt him physically. Just raise a cry and scold him to make him realize that, what he has just done is not acceptable.

That is pretty much you need to do to successfully potty train a puppy. Keep in mind that you need to be consistent and patient to succeed.

Michigan Humane Society

If you have been looking for free dogs in Michigan a great place to check out is the Michigan Humane Society. This is just one of the many incredible non for profit organizations that is responsible for rescuing and caring for so many homeless animals. While visiting the Humane Societies website I came across this video that showed several members of the MHS rescuing seven very small puppies from under an abandoned porch in Detroit.

The pups appear to be no more than 6 weeks old and with their mother they would have never survived the cold winter temperatures. Thanks to the MHS, all of the puppies were rescued, cleaned up and they are all ready for adoption. If you are looking for free puppies there are seven adorable little waiting for you at the Michigan Humane Society.

Free Yorkies Michigan

Yorkshire Terriers are one of the most popular dogs in the United States. Unfortunately there are are too many people who think they are capable of owning a Yorkie only to find out that they just are not cut out for the breed. This is why there are so many free Yorkie puppies available today. If you are considering adopting a Yorkie in the Michigan area check out this link for free puppies. There are plenty of free puppies out there in need of a good home so take your time when looking and I’m sure you will find your forever friend.

Free English Bulldog Puppies Michigan

Another very popular dog breed that that people get and then realize that they can’t take of them are English Bulldog Puppies. English Bulldogs require a lot of attention and can require a lot of medical and nutritional needs. If you are considering adopting a English Bulldog puppy please do your homework first! There are way too many English Bulldog puppies sitting in animal shelters in Michigan because people simply didn’t take the time to do their homework. Again if you are looking for free puppies and you think an English Bulldog puppy might be something that interests you, take the time to do your research. This will save both you and your potential pup a lot of heartache.

Free Chihuahua Puppies Michigan

A friend of mine recently adopted a Chihuahua from a local animal shelter and was amazed by the number of Chihuahua puppies that were in this particular shelter. A lot people think that shelters are only home to mixed breeds dogs and puppies. This couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, there are more pure breed dogs in animal shelters today than ever before. While this has a lot to do with our current economic situation it is also partly due to the fact that people are not taking the time to research a particular dog breed before getting involved with pet ownership. Just look at all of these pure bred free puppies that are waiting for a new home.

Free Golden Retriever Puppies Michigan

A lot of people think that if they at free puppies they are going to save a ton of money. You may save money on the initial purchase of the pup but caring for any dog or pup whether they were free or not is rather expensive. Golden Retriever pups are very cute when they are little. However, they grow up to be large usually very energetic dogs that require a lot of attention. Golden retriever puppies have one of the highest rates of ending up in shelters and rescues because of this. Take a look at some of these free puppies.

Free Boxer Puppies in Michigan

Free Husky Puppies in Michigan

Free Pitbull Puppies in Michigan

No matter how much you care about your cat or dog, it’s never any fun to return home from work and be hit by the smell of your pet as soon as you walk in the door. One obvious solution is to keep your cat or dog outdoors all the time and not allow them in the house. However, assuming you’re like me, there is no way you would make your dog stay outside forever. For that reason in this text we will begin to show you how you can reduce and possibly even eliminate the pet odors in your house.

If you are a cat lover, you understand how unpleasant it is to walk into your house and get a whiff of the litter box.If you replace the cat litter several times a week, it is possible to significantly decrease the smell. Also even if your cat litter comes with baking soda in it it’s possible to add more to help reduce the odors.

For you persons that have carpets, you will find there’s really easy way of getting the smell of your dogs or cats out of the carpeting. The first thing you might need to do is to get yourself a sizeable spray bottle. Then, pour water in the bottle until it’s totally full.At this point walk around your floor converings and commence wetting the carpet.Make sure to only moisten the carpet as opposed to soaking it. At this point , take some baking soda and completely sprinkle it all over the moist carpet.

Next, you ought to use a carpet brush on your carpeting so the water and baking soda will saturate it.For anyone who is unaware of a carpet brush, this is merely a specially designed brush to use on carpets. When it comes to look and feel it is closer to a landscaping rake than a normal brush. Most carpeting and hardware stores carry this particular brush.

As soon as your carpet is totally dry, you will want to vacuum all of the area. While this strategy is very effective on typical pet odors, you will need to find another solution for urine smells. To eliminate these strong odors, you are going to need to buy a domestic pet urine odor removal product. At the same time make positive what ever they try to offer you features enzymes in it.These enzymes breakdown the urine which assists to get rid of the odor.A number of these odor reduction tactics will give you results on the average piece of furniture. On the other hand you’ll want to read the stickers on the furniture to make certain these processes are not going to damage the fabric. The following is one last thing to keep in mind when you’re cleaning furniture.Should you be one of the people that shell out $5,000 on a sofa, you can probably just afford to chuck that one away and acquire a new one.Whether that or simply hire a professional to come in and clean it.

Dogs can be great companions, but sometimes their behavior can be difficult to cope with. It can be difficult to teach your dog better manners if you have never been confronted with these issues before. It could be that you start being a little bothered, but it could escalate to something more extreme. As you read on you will discover how to alleviate some of the usual disobedience troubles that dogs tend to have.

Some dogs are fearful of riding in a moving vehicle and then there are the types that will go anywhere, anytime. Your dog can suffer from hyperactivity when they are forced to ride in a car and are afraid. When your dog needs not be in your vehicle little of they time; you probably do not need to make any major adjustments. If your dog has a problem in the car, you should first get him accustomed to being in the car while its not in motion. Once you have accomplished this, you can take him on short jaunts to build his confidence. More dogs love to travel than those who do not, and if yours is one of the latter, you need to introduce this concept to them slowly. When you are out for a leisure walk with your pooch, is he yanking on the leash nonstop? You may think this is usual and not anything that needs attention. Do not minimize the condition; it could grow into something more severe. A dog who constantly pulls might break free and run into traffic, fight with another dog or cause some other type of disturbance. Working dogs were valuable commodities for those who possibly need to haul over ice and such. Stick with it and you can teach your dog to quit pulling. Never let your dog take control on your walks; you should always be the one in control. Come to an abrupt halt when your dog is straining on the leash. Stay put until your dog stops pulling on the leash.

Separation anxiety is one of the most widespread issues that dogs are faced with. Dogs that get left alone during the day might show their dissatisfaction in different ways. Ordinary signs of separation anxiety include going potty inside, chewing stuff up or barking 24/7. An additional sign of this is that your dog seems disappointed when you leave your home and then acts up when you get home. This isn’t an easy problem to correct, and it may take quite a bit of training and behavior modification. You should always leave some toys out for your dog to play with and turning the radio on for the day is also a good idea. One choice that isn’t always practical is to bring home a second pet that will be a buddy to your dog when you are gone. A lot of dogs can demonstrate a lot of different negative issues; of which we have only covered a couple of them. Training your dog to respond to everyday commands is not difficult. Dogs naturally want to please, and when they do things we don’t like, it’s usually because we haven’t been effective and communicating with them. It basically does not matter whether or not you train your dog yourself or you get help from the experts; most issues can be treated by simply common sense and persistence.

Your Bullmastiff can be there for you through thick and thin, but their manners can be a bit sketchy once in awhile. If you have never been faced with a disobedient Bullmastiff before; when you begin the training process you may be a bit lost. These issues can be anything from mildly annoying to very serious. Below we will offer some suggestions on the most prevalent behavior issues with Bullmastiffs and the best ways to take care of them.

Many Bullmastiffs have a habit that’s very unpleasant for owners to observe -stool eating. Cat feces is a popular delicacy with many Bullmastiffs who often raid the kitty litter box when you’re not looking. Medical issues can sometimes cause Bullmastiffs to do this, especially if they have parasites within their system. Yet even healthy Bullmastiffs may do this, and the best way to prevent it is to be diligent about cleaning up any feces in the yard and being alert when walking your Bullmastiff.

Unbelievably, there is actually a product on the market that will make the feces taste terrible. This is used to deter Bullmastiffs from doing this. If you have to, you might need to muzzle your Bullmastiff whenever it is outside.

Does your Bullmastiff like to fight? If it does, serious issues can develop as a result. Bullmastiffs are naturally territorial, and they are also pack animals who will sometimes challenge one another over dominance. The best way to prevent fights is to maintain control over your Bullmastiff and be alert when walking him. If you are walking your Bullmastiff, and you pass by another Bullmastiff that growls, make sure there is some distance between the two animals. Bullmastiffs get into the habit of meeting one another on the street. It is their nature. By keeping your Bullmastiff from other Bullmastiffs, fighting will be kept to a minimum. By preventing your Bullmastiff from pulling you on the leash, and using one when you go out, things should be just fine.

Aggression is one of the most serious Bullmastiff behavior problems and must be dealt with. Bullmastiffs can sometimes be hostile to not just other Bullmastiffs, but people too, and sometimes their owners. Even though this attitude is more known for Bullmastiffs of certain breeds; it can actually be apparent in any breed. If you haven’t had your Bullmastiff since birth, it’s possible that his aggression is due to past abuse of some kind. Another possibility is a health problem, so your first step should be taking the Bullmastiff to the veterinarian. If indeed you Bullmastiff is found not to be experiencing any sort of medical dilemma; you will need to seek proper training. Bullmastiffs may display all sorts of ill favored issues and we have just mentioned some of the most pronounced. It is really not a difficult deed to train your Bullmastiff if it is not responding to your commands. Their most relevant characteristic is to please, when it comes to Bullmastiffs; if they are not performing to our specifications, we are most likely not getting the message across. Time is of the essence; however, even though it will take time, you need to hang in there in order to train your Bullmastiff effectively.

Clicker Training for dogs is one of the up and coming methods of training today. It is easy and effective. All you need to begin clicker training is a clicker and some treats.

Here are tips to help you during your training.

- When you first begin with the clicker, keep things simple. Your dog does not know what the clicker is yet, so push and release the clicker, and then give your dog a treat. This will begin to get your dogs attention. Keep the treats small so that he’ll keep wanting more.

- Make sure you click DURING a desired behavior. Timing is crucial for your dogs understanding of what the clicker is. Give the treat after the click, your dog will begin to associate the behavior you are clicking with treats, and soon enough, he’ll be associating the click with the behavior wanted.

- If you’re not making any progress with a behavior you are trying to achieve, your clicking is probably late. Timing is essential! Try having someone else watch you to see if you are clicking at the appropriate time, sometimes it’s easier for someone else to see if you are clicking at the correct times.

- Begin clicking when your dog is doing a desirable behavior he is likely to do anyways. Start with something easy. If your dog already knows how to sit or lay down, you begin clicking with that behavior.

- Only click once for a desirable behavior. If your dog does something VERY desirable, increase the amount of treats you give him, not the number of times you click. Clicking more than once can start to confuse your dog.

- Start your clicker training sessions short at first. Make sure you keep the training interesting or your dog may get bored with the training and stop responding to the clicker. Even using your clicker a few times throughout the day can teach your dog many new things.

- Clicking to good behaviors will help stop bad behaviors. Click behaviors that you want your dog to do, such as waiting at the door, not rushing out or for not jumping on visitors.

These are just a few clicker training tips, but there are so many more. Clicker training can be fun for you and your dog, and will help build a forever bond between the two of you.

Are you trying to find puppies for free in Georgia? If you answered to this question then you have come to the right place. Adopt Free Puppies is an excellent resource for anyone who is considering adopting a puppy.

A lot of first time pet owners get overwhelmed when it comes to choosing the right breed of dog to suit their lifestyle. Whether you looking to get a puppy to be your companion or you interested I getting a new family pet, it is important that you do your homework before choosing a puppy to bring home. If you don’t know what type of dog would be the best match for you and your family, try using our Dog Breed Selector Tool to help you make the right decision. This is probably the most important step when it comes to adopting a puppy.

Here is a list of some of the most popular dogs that people look when they search for free puppies GA.

Free Boxer puppies in Georgia

Free English bulldog puppies in Georgia

Free German Shepherd puppies in Georgia

Free Maltese puppies in Georgia

Free Pitbull puppies in Georgia

Free Pomeranian puppies in Georgia

Free Rottweiler puppies in Georgia

Free Yorkie puppies in Georgia

Petfinder is an excellent website packed with free puppies ads. There website is updated daily and there are always a ton of free puppies that you can choose from. I particularly like this site because it allows you to search for specific dog breeds. If you know that you are interested in a Bullmastiff, then you type in the word Bullmastiff and up comes a list of adoptable Bullmastiff puppies. You can also narrow your search by entering a specific location. For example, if you are interested in searching for free puppies in GA you would just simply type in “Georgia” when asked for the location and you will get results for all of the free puppies that are available in this area. Here is an example of a search for Free Puppies in Georgia.

Adopt a Puppy Atlanta GA

Perhaps you would like an even more refined search. Petfinder also allows you to narrow your search down by city. For example, you may want to search for Free Puppies in Atlanta. You can go to the home page of Petfinder.com and click on the tab that says “Animal Shelters by State”. If for example you are interested in finding free puppies in Atlanta Georgia, under the state tab click “Georgia” and under the city tab click “Atlanta” and you will then have access to all free puppies in Atlanta Georgia. Here is an example of a search that I did for Free puppies in Atlanta GA. Just be aware that this type of search is going to give you an extremely large list of animals to adopt adopt. It will actually give you a list of all of the Animal Shelters Atlanta GA and other rescue groups so you won’t just get results for free puppies. This list will also include other animals such as cats and kittens. This particular search returned 325,427 adoptable pets from 13,719 adoption groups!!! It breaks my heart to think that there are that many animals in need of new homes!

Along with Atlanta, here are few more of the most popular cities searched when looking for free puppies.

Free Puppies Alpharetta GA

Free Puppies Marietta GA

Free Puppies Savannah GA

Wouldn’t it be nice if your dog was born already knowing not to chew on your shoes? Just imagine how awesome it would be if your dog knew to go to the bathroom outside of the house! Just imagine for a short while if your dog innately knew to sit, stay and come when commanded to? Uhhh… we can dream right?

We wrote this article to help others avoid the pitfalls that we had endured when using various dog training schools out there. Consider this article a “tell all” article from the diary of a frustrated and desperate dog owner. I most certainly will open the pages of my life and let you experience the ups and downs that my family and I experienced on our journey to finding the perfect dog training school.

Dog Training Schools Online

We all love our dogs and we want them to live happy, healthy lives. Providing your pooch with proper obedience training is an integral part of its basic upkeep and maintenance. Just as we feed them, give them shelter, and make sure they have adequate veterinary care, we must train them too!

Finding a dog obedience class near you is probably an easy thing do however, many of these classes can be very expensive. It’s not uncommon to pay $150 or so per class. Most obedience classes run for 6 to 8 week session. The number of times that you bring your dog will most likely depend on their behavior and how well they respond to the training. We took our yellow lab to school and ended spending a fortune because he was so bad and needed extra training!

Things have changed quite a bit with the introduction of the world wide web. There are several online dog training courses given by different online dog training schools that you can try for a lot less money. One of the most talked about online dog training program is Doggie Dan’s Online Dog Training system. Doggie Dan is a dog trainer that has put together a series of dog training videos online for you to access where ever and whenever you want! The program is SPCA endorses and the training techniques used throughout the videos are simple, gentle and produce instant results. We recently got my mother in law a new puppy and I wanted to get her this system because she really can’t drive anymore and it would hard for her to take the puppy to an obedience school. I wanted to test Doggie Dan’s dog training online videos to see if they really work. It’s 100% guaranteed so I figured what do I have to lose?

Free Dog Training Courses

I think that we can all agree that cost is a major issue for most of us considering dog training classes. Doggie Dan actually offers free dog training videos online for 5 days. It’s pretty hard to find free online dog training courses these days. If you do find something, there is usually a catch and you end up paying in the end anyway.

As I continued to read the description of Do9ggie Dan’s training videos it occurred to me that I could have access to his training videos for 5 days plus total access to the full membership site and a ton of bonus products for only a $1.00! I think it’s worth the dollar, but if you are still skeptical you can just try the videos for 5 days absolutely free of charge!

Take a look at this free video to get an idea of what you’ll get!

[flowplayer src='http://adoptfreepuppies.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Freegiveaway1Kitchen.flv' splash='http://adoptfreepuppies.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/FG1-300x298.jpg']

Online Dog Training School

You are obviously going to want value for your money when purchasing any type of online dog teaching course. However, it’s important to keep everything in perspective when it comes to what is actually possible from these types of course. All dogs are different. This is especially true when it comes to the different breeds. Certain dog breeds are easier to train than others and it’s important that you research this before you start any type of course and become frustrated if you are not seeing the results that you expected. If you know your dog’s abilities ahead of time and you don’t go into the course with unrealistic expectations, then you will not be disappointed.

A good online dog training class will turn a bad dog into a good one and a good dog into an exemplary one. Dogs are extremely intelligent, obedient animals and they will provide you and your family unconditional love and devotion for years. You can help unleash your pet’s true potential by exposing them to training sooner than later. Consistently use the training techniques that you learn from any type of dog training class is the key to success.

Free Online Dog Training Tips

If you simply can’t afford to take your dog to obedience school or sign up for some online training videos you should be able to find plenty of dog training tips online. There are even online dog training games that have been designed for you to use with your pet in the comfort of your own home.

Online Dog Training Certification

In the United States, anyone with experience is allowed to start their own dog training business. However, you must be evaluated by The Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers before you can start your business. They will be looking at the applied science of professional dog training, as well as how current your knowledge is. You can actually get a Dog training certification online but you still need to pass your evaluation before you can go out on your own.

In order to become certified, you have to demonstrate both knowledge and experience in dog training. All candidates must pass a knowledge test and prove that they have at least 300 hours of teaching dog classes, or training dogs in general. You will also be required to have a recommendation from a client, a veterinarian, and a colleague is required in order to sit for the exam. A trainer can only consider starting professional dog training upon their certification approval.

As humans, we spend time looking for the best possible ways of taking care of our health. This might include nutritious foods, health supplements, physical activities, and a good hospital that can monitor the status of our health or cure us when we are sick. This is also the same for animals. Pet owners should provide the best nutrition for them as well as quality animal hospitals that can take care of their physical well-being, illness, or accidents. Getting the right services from animal clinics pocatello is important for people especially if they are living in Idaho.

The best animal hospital should provide all equipments necessary to determine an animal’s condition. This includes an x-ray, ultrasound machine, and other devices that accurately measure their weight, height, eyesight, and overall body condition. In this way, pet owners are assured that they have come to the right place because the animal hospital is equipped with diagnosis and treatment facilities that can cure an animal.

Besides the equipment, animal hospitals should also have products that address the nutritional values and health of the pet. These products might include grooming paraphernalia, medications, food, and vitamins that will help pets live a healthier life.

Good support for animals is ideal but support for pet owners is highly recommended. Most pet owners follow different pet care myths or solutions that they think are right but are actually detrimental to animal’s health. Educating the owners regarding the proper care of animals will help them minimize illnesses and accidents on the pet’s part.

Searching for the best animal hospital to care for pets is important in maintaining their healthy life. As they are an indispensable part of the family, people should also give them the same care they give to other members especially when it comes to health and nutrition. People in Idaho can also approach an emergency vet chubbuck nearby especially during unforeseen ailments or injuries that need immediate treatment.

So the holidays have come and gone and with that I’m sure there are thousands of puppies that found themselves a new home Christmas. While I’d like to believe that most of these puppies will live out very happy and healthy lives with their new owners, many of them will not. A few weeks after Christmas is when the number of puppies in animal shelters and rescue groups rise because people realize they made a mistake. If you are considering a new puppy, I assure you that there will be plenty of puppies to adopt out there that need a new home.

Free Local Puppies

One of the best places to find local puppies for free is the local animal shelters. Most shelters house the maximum number of animals because unfortunately the number of animals that need a place to live is always on the rise. You will be able to choose from a variety of breeds that are a number of different ages if you visit a shelter. As a child growing up in household that loved animals, I realized that local animal shelters are one of the best places to find your pet.

Free Puppies for Adoption

One of the easiest ways to begin searching for puppies for free adoption is using the web. There are a lot of websites that have been created to list free puppy classifieds. Some of the most popular sites that you can use to look for free puppies are Next Day Pets, Petfinder and Adopt a Pet. All of these sites make searching for a new pet very easy. Let’s say you are interested in free puppies for adoption in New York, you simply enter your zip code, the type of dog or puppy that you are interested in and you will instantly have access to thousands of puppies and dogs that are up for adoption in New York. These sites usually provide you with a little background on the dog or pup that you are interested in. A friend of mine was looking for free German Shepherd puppies for adoption and she found her pup using one of these sites.

Free Dogs

My sister recently decided that she wanted to adopt a beagle. Beagle adoption is something that I myself am familiar with because my husband and I adopted a beagle a few years ago. He was an older dog, 6 years old to be exact. He was a hunting dog and when his owner fell ill, he could no longer take care of him. While there is no shortage of free dogs and puppies, it’s usually easier to find free dogs for adoption because most people are interested in puppies. Because of this, we knew that he might have a hard time finding a new home so we decided to take him home. After seeing how happy and well adjusted our beagle “Tim” was, my sister fell in love with the idea of adopting a beagle herself. She immediately started looking for free dogs in Chicago, which is where she lives. Although Tim was a pure bred beagle, we actually adopted him from a local shelter. However, I told my sister to search for the Beagle Rescues in her area because they always have dogs in need of a good home.

Animal Shelters

One of the biggest misconceptions about animal shelters is that they only house mixed breed, nasty, sick or even dangerous puppies and dogs. This could not be further from the truth! I recently read an article about a few animal shelters in Rhode Island and how local community members were standing up for them. If run properly, animal shelters are truly heaven sent for most of the animals housed there. As I stated earlier we adopted an adult beagle from an animal shelter who was at one time a big time hunting dog. It’s sad but a lot of the dogs and puppies in animal shelters ended up there because of situations that were out of their owner’s control. People get sick, they lose their jobs or their homes and one of the most common reasons that people can’t keep their pets is because they have to relocate. So don’t turn your nose up at an animal shelter, there are full of loving animals that would make perfect pets!

So, if you are thinking about getting a new puppy or dog this year, think about adopting a pet. You will save a life!
